Palani: The Sacred Venue

The choice of Palani as the venue for the Muthamizh Murugan Maanadu (Conference) is deeply symbolic and significant. The hilltop temple, built by the sage Bhogar, is renowned for its miraculous powers and spiritual energy.

Arunagirinathar, one of the most revered saints of Tamil literature, composed numerous hymns in praise of Palani, often referring to it as "the miraculous Palani hill." He also mentioned that the sage Agathiyar worships Lord Murugan at Palani twice a day, highlighting the spiritual importance of this sacred site.

The Thiruppugazh, a collection of hymns in praise of Murugan, also glorifies Palani as the place where "the Lord bestows grace upon hearing songs in Tamil."

Note: Participation in the conference is open to all at no cost. The Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department has organized the event to ensure that both devotees and the general public can attend comfortably and without any hassle.
